Steph's niche is combining a professional background in live entertainment production with their editing skills to amplify clear communication and efficient, effective documentation. Their love of proofreading and editing stems from a true enjoyment of writing research papers, technical documents, and a graduate thesis, and a desire to help other writers and content creators put their best foot forward with reader-friendly and error-free manuscripts. They have most notably been published in the scientific journal Ecology and the entertainment production quarterly publication Theatre Design & Technology (TD&T). They hold a Certificate in Editing from Poynter News University and ACES: The Society for Editing, a BS in Biology and BA in Dramatic Art from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an MFA from the Yale School of Drama's Technical Design and Production program.

Having lived all over the United States, Steph settled in Oregon in 2018 with their dog Puck. Steph and Puck enjoy hiking, agility, and sharing the couch to read and watch movies in the evenings. Steph's work in entertainment production can be seen at www.stephwaaser.com.
